I just wanted to take a minute tonight and write about how much I love my son. He really amazed me today as I watched him do simple things that he was unable to do just a few days ago. He is sitting himself up all by himself and it's so fun to walk into his room after he's had a nap and find him sitting up smiling at me in his crib!

I can't believe how fast these last 10 months have gone. He is so wonderful and precious and has been such a joy in my life. I'm so lucky to be his mother. I can't remember what life was like before he was here, nor can I imagine a life without him.

I took this picture on Sunday, and although he has his hand in his mouth, I love how his eyes smile. You can tell he is happy even without seeing his big grin. I love you Gavin. Forever and ever.

Before I put another notch in my lipstick case.....

I was gone Saturday morning and Keith spent some time with Gavin. I think he got a taste of what my days can sometimes be like! Gavin somehow found some lipstick...and I'm sure you can guess what happened from there! I got a call from Keith asking me how to get lipstick out of the carpet. Then he told me how it got on the carpet...I giggled, but had no idea how much had actually gotten on Gavin until he texted me a picture....then I really laughed! You just never know what that boy of ours is going to do next! Keith said he thought he at least had fun doing it! And he apparently thought he was pretty funny afterwards when Keith took these pictures!

A Cousin for the day!

Gav's cousin came to play with him and mommy for the day while Aunt B was working. I love my little niece so much. I can't believe how amazing she is! Gavin is very entertained by her and despite the fact that I am chasing around 2 babies, it's easier to have her here because she keeps Gavin happy! I can't believe how well they play with eachother. They are at an age where it doesn't matter if one or the other takes a toy away....they haven't yet learned the "mine" thing. I'm sure it will come one day, but for now that doesn't matter.





I noticed while she was here that they are each so smart in their own ways. They each have learned things that the other hasn't. I guess that goes to show each baby has their own timing and I should worry about thing like how Gavin doesn't crawl normal or isn't walking yet. I think I mostly worry that others will make fun of him. I know there isn't anything wrong with him, that it's just harder for him because he is bigger than most kids his age, but sometimes I worry he'll be teased. There are so many emotions you feel as a mom that I didn't expect myself to feel.

Peek-a-boo

Gavin's new favorite thing to do is peek-a-boo! It's so cute! We play everytime he gets his diaper changed (how else am I going to keep him still?!) I always stick his pants over his face and say, "Where's Gavin?" He does this silly little flipping thing and pulls the pants away and giggles! Then he will repeat. He likes thing covering his eyes...not sure why, but he laughs everytime! Here are some cute pics.

Just Because...

I think Uncle Austin needs a little extra love right now, and who loves him more than Gavin??? Here are a couple things Gavin loves about his Uncle Austin:

He is a good babysitter (puts him to bed and everything!)

Blackmail

Just catching up on some blogging and I found these pictures I took the other day...they are going to be blackmail against my sweet little son one day! He was playing with my headband and I got some crazy idea to put it on him. He thought it was fun! Obviously dad was not home to see this or it probably wouldn't have happened, or at the very least, there wouldn't be a picture of it!

Bowling with Spinmasterflex and others

Yesterday was Gavin's first time bowling...or rather, at the bowling alley! He went with Grandma and Grandpa, Spinmasterflex (Uncle Austin's alias when he bowls), Uncle Brad and mom and dad. We all had a good time....Dad and Mom both got Turkeys! Dad did much better than mom, but she showed them all at the end! Gavin was good luck that night! He was pretty tired towards the end, but he made it.

We used to go bowling all the time when we were first married. It's funny to think how much your life changes after you have kids. We can't just decide to go bowling 10:oo at night anymore! I know we wouldn't trade this for anything. We still have a lot of fun, it's just a different kind of fun! Here are a few photos for everyone to enjoy!


Also, I am now using our names in our blog....safety schmaftey...it's getting too confusing. If you have asked that we not post your names, I will continue to avoid doing so, but I decided I'm okay with using names. It's not like I am giving out socials, credit card numbers and addresses!!!

I have been working on G's scrapbook and I am actually all caught up! Okay, I don't have his 9 month page done, but he's still 9 months and I am waiting for just the right picture! I am going to post all of his pages online here for those of you who won't be seeing them at my house anytime soon! Blogging Safety

As many friends and family have told me about how potentially unsafe it is to put so much info about my family on a blog for ANYONE to read and access I thought I too would post and let everyone know why I'm not using my family names within the blog itself. So therefore, those of you who know us, I'm sure you'll understand who I am talking about by just using initials. I'll also abbreviate friends and family names and if you know me well enough you should be able to figure out who I'm talking about.
