Keith and I have always had a habit of coming up with nicknames for things. For the past couple of months Max has been referred to as Billsy around our home. Lest you wonder why the heck I'm calling my child named Max, "Billsy" (and I'm sure you'll hear me say it because 9 times out of 10 that's what we call him...) here's the reason.
When I was pregnant with Max and we were trying to come up with a name, we had started to settle on Max but were unsure whether it would just be "Max" or something else like Maxwell. I was pretty sure I just wanted Max because I knew I would never call him by his full name anyway, but Keith was pushing for Maxamillian. One day he was teasing me and said, "Anyone can do Max-A-Million, how about we do Max-A-Billion?" It was hilarious. Maybe you had to be there, but I got a good laugh over it. So that was always the joke.
Well, when Max got "boring" as Gavin would say (he meant born...) we always joked and said Max-A-Billion when we were talking to him. Then it got shortened to Mr. Billion, then just Billion and finally Billsy. And for some reason Billsy has stuck. Every once in awhile it's just Bills, but I'm partial to Billsy and it seems to fit him. Gavin will usually refer to him as Billsy too and it's just about the cutest thing ever.
I can't imagine these last 9 months (yep, as of yesterday 9 MONTHS!) of my life without my sweet little Billsy. He bring so much joy to our home. He is an angel baby and is always happy. He goes right down for naps and bedtime, loves the bath, is an excellent eater, and smiles constantly. He just started sitting himself up on his own and waving and he thinks he's pretty neat. What a lucky mother I am. I wouldn't trade this moment in my life for anything.

It's funny to hear how that has stuck, b/c whenever Curtis and I talk about you guys (often in the context of the fact that you have really cute kids), we refer to him as Max-a-Billion.
Anyway, "Billsy" is still just as cute as ever!
Isn't it funny how these little nicknames come about. Isaac's nickname started out as "stinker", then somehow it turned into "Dinkers" and now it's "Dinks". My whole family calls Isaac "Dinkers". LOVE IT!
This picture? Worth a billion words :)
