Watch Myah

This is a short one, but oh so sweet! The other day at my mom's house, Uncle Austin asked Gavin if he would, "Watch Myah" while he went to get something. This is how Gavin understood that.....

He's so smart in his own way!

Look, Mom!

Gavin's favorite phrase at the moment (besides just screaming mommy for no apparent reason....) is to say, "Look, Mom!" And then he's always showing me something funny he is doing. Here's just a few cute pictures of him.

Happy Birthday, Kenna!!!!

My beautiful niece is 2 today! I love this little girl so much and I am so thankful for her in my life. She is so sweet and precious to me and my family. Kenna loves Elmo, and babies, and Grandma, and Toy Story, and coloring all over herself :) But most of all Kenna loves Gav!!! Okay, I can't say most of all for SURE, but they are really cute together! Oh yes, I am also her favorite Aunt. Sorry to all of the rest of my sisters...there really wasn't much competition.......:)

Kenna's birthday is a big one for me because Gavin was born a month after her. So on Kenna's birthday I can't believe how close I am to Gavin being that old!

We love you, Kenna!

My sweet little birthday present!

My mom offered to take Gav for a sleepover the night of my birthday. She's so awesome! She came and got him in the middle of the day and he was soooooooo excited! Cousin Kenna was sleeping over to, so this just made it even better for him!

While we were out my mom set up this sweet little present to send to me-

It's just from her cell, so the quality isn't great, but he's so cute! Thanks buddy (and Mom!)

4-Wheeler Poop

Weird title, I know. This is not a gross story, so those with weak stomachs may continue to read!

2 weeks ago Gavin decided he wanted to go potty. We've always talked about it, and he has a potty chair, but I figured it would be a long time still and I wasn't going to push it. Well, I was getting him ready for bed one night, and he informed me he needed to go potty. Right...I thought. So I undressed him, and took him in the bathroom and set him on the toilet. He then said, "Buh-bye." Okay, so I backed out of the room and stayed close just in case this was going to end up with him in the toilet or something. Next thing I know, there is a little tinkle, tinkle sound coming from the bathroom!!! I was SOOOOOO proud, and well, sort of in shock! The next 2 days he continued to go and would sometimes tells me and other times I would just ask him and he said yep and went.

Well, he sort of decided he wasn't into it for a few days, and then started up again, but he WAS NOT about to poop on the potty. He would ask for a diaper and REFUSE to go near the bathroom. So we started bribing him with a 4 wheeler ride with Grandpa if he would go. This sort of backfired and Gav would just walk around telling everyone "4 Wheeler Poop." I was a bit embarrassed, but whatever. Then all of the sudden today he decided this was the day. He said, "Mom, poop, help." Again...I was speechless. He was SOOOOOO proud of himself and we had to make an unplanned trip to Grandpa's to go on the much promised 4 wheeler ride! He was very excited!

We're not all the way there on this potty training thing, but we are well on our way! And I am THRILLED that it happened like a year earlier than I had even hoped for! Way to go, Gav! What a big boy!

Climber

Gavin has become quite the climber. Ok, he has always climbed on everything, but lately he definitely has improved these skills! The other day we were outside and then in the garage picking up a few things and Gav hopped right up on Keith's motorcycle and said, "Vroom Vroom!" It was way cute, but I was pretty nervous to think that he did that all by himself!!!

Gavin also sort of pulls himself out of his crib up onto his dresser to turn of his music when he wakes up. I think this is hilarious because he doesn't realize that he could actually GET OUT of his crib if he wanted to. He just pulls himself out, turns off the music and then scoots back in!!!
All this climbing really seems to tucker him out....
