Entirely too much fun...

This weekend I was able to get a little photography practice in. Honestly, I still don't know what the heck I am doing, but practice makes perfect right? My best friend Carlie and my best Smith sister-in-law (good thing she's thing she's the only one who currently reads my blog....)Mandy, let me practice on their families. It was A LOT of fun, and I don't know that I did anything spectacular, but you want to know the best part? I got to come home and play with photoshop! I mean...I got to spend some time with friends and family...................

So here's a few that I liked....a few might end up being an understatement, but we'll see how blogger cooperates. Thanks for looking!

5 weeks away...

My awesome brother and his cute wife are eagerly anticipating their little girls arrival! (I think I am more excited, but I'm sure they beg to differ....) Anyway, if you know the cute couple or you just want to play a game...click on this link....

My sisters family...

It's probably really lame to put my sister's family picture on here, but I'm so in love with it. My dad did them and did such a great job! (Of course it helps that Kenna is so stinkin cute! So, sorry Dad...you had a little help!) Anyway, I was talking about how much I loved this picture to a couple of you so here it is. And just because I can't leave well enough alone, I edited it with some new stuff I learned. (Sorry again, dad...I hope I didn't ruin your artistic ability!) And thank you Brit, Chris and Kenna....I love you!

SEE WHAT I MEAN ABOUT HER BEING SO STINKIN CUTE????

100 and counting...

So here it is...my 100th post! I can't believe I've had 100 things to post about. Really, is my life honestly that interesting? I'm sure the answer to that is no, but it's been nice to be able to share some things about me and my family.

I've put off posting for a few days because I felt like I needed something big for the big 100. Remember how you always used to celebrate the 100th day of school in elementary? Well, I needed something big like that.

Then I thought I should write about something I never have before on here. It's big in it's own way, but something pretty simple too. So here it is...my testimony.

I am so thankful for my Heavenly Father. It's such a blessing in my life to know that He is there for me. I can't imagine a life where I didn't have some sort of knowledge about where I came from and where I will be going. I've been blessed to have been born a memeber of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints, and I know I have taken that for granted. I know I don't always make the right choices or the best decisions, but I know that my Heavenly Father will always love me and that He has given me the opportunity to repent and He will forgive. I know my savior, Jesus Christ, died for me. I know that He loved me personally enough to do that for me and I know that I need to live my life worthy of what He has given me. I know we have a Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, here on the earth today and that he truly lives and guides us by the Spirit. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon and that it is a true witness of Jesus Christ. I love the temple and the blessings I receive from having been endowed and married there. I'm so thankful that I can have an eternal family. I know that the gospel is true.
This is one of my favorite pictures of the Savior.

Tantrums and cupcakes...

The other day while cooking dinner I let Gavin stand up on a chair by me and play in the water in the sink. He loves running water and thought it was pretty cool that I was letting him do this. I let him do this for quite awhile and then I got a little water concious and I was finished cooking anyway, so I turned it off and got him down. WRONG thing to do apparently! He threw a screaming fit for about 25 minutes. He honestly WOULD NOT calm down. I just had to start ignoring it because he wasn't going to stop unless I turned on the water and that wasn't going to happen. Finally I pulled up some pictures on the computer and he saw one of Dad and stopped immediately and started telling me about all the people in the pictures. Apparently he just needed a little distraction......

On a completely unrelated topic, Gavin sure enjoyed this cupcake :) I think he was about ready to throw another trantrum had I not given it to him.....

Moo...that's cow for Happy Halloween!

Alright! I am finally blogging about all the fun we had this week. This year had to be a much more fun Halloween for Gavin than the last. Not only did he get to try his hand at "Trick or Treating", but this year he got to EAT the candy!

The day before Halloween we had the annual Smith Family cousin's party at Keith's moms. With 17 grandkids it would be practically impossible for Keith's parents to see them all dressed up any other way. We play a couple games, do a craft, read some stories and do a little mini "Trick or Treat" around the backyard. I think the kids enjoy it. Gavin mostly enjoyed playing in his WHITE cow costume in the sandbox. He was pretty cute.
All the Smith family cousins minus Ashlyn who wasn't very happy. (Well neither was Caleb as you can see from this picture...)
Every Halloween we go to my dad's neighborhood party. They have big soup potluck and TONS of food (because Cobbley's don't do anything without food!). And then everyone has their trunks decorated and we take the kids "Trunk or Treating" around the cul-de-sac. Gavin was sooooooo cute and started saying "Trick or Treat" all on his own. Then they would give candy to Gavin and Kenna and they would both say "THANK YOU!!!!" Such polite little kids! Gavin got quite a bit of candy (Thank you Grandma Marcia and Grandpa Jerry....) and the after effects of this are shown below. And the best part about Halloween??? It's OVER! I'm really not a big fan and I was just really excited to change my blog background again......I know, PATHETIC! (Susan, I'm making you a new header tonight!)

My awesome sister in law Heather decorated these cupcakes for me to take to my dad's party.
