I've been a slacker...

My dad pointed out the other day on facebook that I've been pretty much slacking as a blogger. I love to blog, even if people think what I write is lame, but it's more for me than anyone else. I haven't been stuck in a rut or anything lately...just BUSY. Seriously busy with just life. I need to still blog about Easter but those pictures are on my other computer and don't have time for that. So this is more an update of well, not much really! It's spring which means I have an itch to get things organized and cleaned and that goes so SLOWLY with the kids around! I once heard a quote I loved..."Trying to clean your house with kids is like trying to brush your teeth while eating oreos." So true!

With all of the organizing I decided I have to redecorate a lot of my house. Ok, so maybe that is more of a want to than need to, but I am stuck in a rut in my house. I try and tell myself all of the time that i just need to be thankful that I have a house, but truly I feel like we have so much junk and we are all on top of eachother here. I've always kept things pretty basic here thinking we wouldn't live her as long as we have but since we are staying longer than I thought it is time for a change! I was originally starting with my bedroom, but I got some wild ideas for my main bathroom and just went to it. It's almost done I just need some more nick nacky things to put on my shelf and then I'll do a before and after post. It's making me so happy to have something new, but unfortunately the cutest room in my house is now my bathroom!

Mostly I have been busy taking pictures! It has been so fun for me! It really is a lot of work to schedule a time with people, make sure someone is available to be with the kids if Keith is working, and then edit the way too many pictures I take. Nothing makes me more happy though than when I go to someone's home and see the pictures displayed. I'm not great and have so much to learn, but I really appreciate those who encourage me and let me practice. I want to thank my dad also because he is the one who really got me excited about photography. I hate admitting sometimes that it wasn't always a passion of mine. There are those people who say that they have always loved it and always been interested, and maybe I would have if I would have taken photography in high school. I never took it because you had to take basic art first and there is absolutely NOTHING I love about drawing which was all that class was. So thanks Dad for helping me find my most passionate hobby, even if it was much later in life than others!

I'll leave you with a few of my favorite pictures from the past 2 weeks...

Lucky. I wish I could find some clients. Even some models for my portfolio would be nice. Denver people suck. ;-)

Your Picutres are amazing! You should be honest with your blog readers. You have been so busy being so kind to your neighbors and bringing them dinner for no good reason. Thanks so much. We love you!

Your photos are so lovely. You'd never know you were an art class flunky. Then again, would you ever believe that me (the pet hater) was once a zoology major? I wanted to study Bengal tigers. Yeeeeeeeah.... Anyway, my passion for photos is a very new obsession, so I understand feeling a little like a poser. But who cares when you develop the passion, eh???
