Me: Gavin, it's time to get ready for bed.

Gav: Mom, do you know I'm nocturnal? That means I stay awake at night and don't have to go to bed. I just sleep during the day.

Me: Well why didn't you sleep today?

Gav: Oh, I just forgot.
